OKLAHOMA CITY- A motel and a busy breakfast spot became connected by a crime scene on Wednesday morning.
It started with a call for help from Jimmy’s Egg, along N.W. 39th St.
“When officers arrived at Jimmy’s Egg, they found one individual suffering from trauma. We are not noting the type of trauma that the individual suffered,” said Major Dexter Nelson, with the Oklahoma City Police Department. “We don’t know if this individual was shot, stabbed or beaten. We are still trying to determine.”
That victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, but the case took a bizarre turn.
Officers went next door to the Hospitality Inn, where they found two more victims. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to the hospital.
Police say there are a total of three crime scenes to investigate.
“The scene where the man was found at the Jimmy’s Egg. There’s a blood trail that leads to this motel and following that blood trail, into the lobby or the common area in the middle. Then we have another scene where it looks like this might have transpired, but they are all connected by blood trail,” said Nelson.
For now, investigators continue looking for more pieces to this puzzle.
“We don’t know the relationship of the individuals or how they are connected to each other. But we do know that they interacted with each other based on witnesses that we talked to who saw them interacting together,” he said.
Police are not saying if any other people might be involved and are not releasing the names of the victims.
Right now, the case is being considered a death investigation, not a homicide, because authorities are not sure how the man died.
As for the man and woman taken to the hospital, officials say they are recovering.
So far, there have been no arrests made.
