MUTUAL, Okla. – Authorities say a teacher and principal have resigned and another teacher has also been suspended at an Oklahoma school district.

Officials at the Sharon-Mutual Public School District say that a high school principal and an art teacher both resigned from their posts earlier this week.

In a statement from the district, school leaders say Chris Syms, the high school principal, and Reece Lujan, an art teacher, have resigned from the district.

Also, school officials say Kevin Krows, a basketball coach, has been temporarily suspended.

Lujan’s and Sym’s duties will be temporarily reassigned until replacements can be found.

The release went on to say, “I am not at liberty to discuss any details but I can tell you that it is a personnel matter.”

The Woodward County Sheriff Gary Stanley says the sheriff’s office is investigating a matter at the district involving a juvenile.

However, no arrests have been made.
