OKLAHOMA CITY — Thursday marks three years since an Anadarko pastor was found brutally murdered.
Members of the church she pastored found her dead inside the church building.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been trying to solve this case for three years now with only a few leads.
The family of Carol Daniels said it has been three years and they miss their mom everyday.
The family, along with the OSBI, are not giving up on this case.
Carol’s son Quentin Daniels said, “We know whoever did this is going to be brought to justice. Just because the police haven’t found as much as we would like them to, we know God sees all things and yet they haven’t gotten away with anything.”
It happened in an Anadarko church building on Aug. 23, 2009.
Daniels’ body was found; she had been brutally murdered.
To this day, no arrest has been made.
In fact, there have been very few leads.
Regardless, the OSBI said solving the case is still a top priority.
OSBI Spokesperson Jessica Brown said, “We are going to solve this case.”
Thursday morning officials with the OSBI announced they are renewing the reward in this case, offering $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
“We want to solve this case as badly as anyone wants us to solve it,” Brown said. “It’s just a matter of being able to find the leads and follow those leads and we will continue to do that until we bring justice to Carol Daniels’ and her family.”
Quentin, one of Carol’s five children, said, “We miss her everyday.”
He said his mom was a great woman who loved God and did not deserve to die such a brutal death.
He said, “The last thing she said was, ‘You can’t let the things going on in your life stop you, you have to keep pushing forward.'”
Advice he’s tried to live by since she’s been gone.
